Our kitchen cabinets and appliances

We were so lucky to find an entire kitchen worth of cabinets and appliances that had been taken out of a very nice house. We weren't planning on replacing the cabinets too, but it was such a good deal to get everything used, we went for it. Everything is two years old, and comes from a vacation home, so the appliances were only used 6 times! The contractor had to sell the house, and the new buyers wanted a completely new kitchen. Now, the same contractor is putting everything in our house. I still can't believe how things have all fallen into place to make this happen!
The cabinets are a light color with antique glaze. They are much nicer than what we have now. I am so excited to have more storage room. The upper cabinets are 42" and I will also have a floor to ceiling pantry.


All the appliances are GE profile. We are getting a double wall oven. I can't wait to have an electric oven again. I just didn't like the gas one. It gets so hot and I didn't like the smell when I opened the door to check on the food. We also didn't think we could get a double oven, and were just looking for a single one.

I am excited to get a cook top too. I love having the counter top all around it, so no food can fall between and you have to clean it out, plus I will have more storage for my pots and pans in the cabinet underneath.

We weren't planning on replacing the trash compactor or the dishwasher either...but they came with the package so might as well.I do love that the dishwasher has the buttons on top of the door, so that when it is shut and running, no little fingers can play with all the options (Kylee), making my life so much easier.
